Zoë Reid is an accredited conservator and in 2002, she established the Conservation

Department at the National Archives of Ireland, laying the groundwork for the long-term
preservation of the national collection and ensuring secure public access to the archives. Over
the past 25 years, Zoë's work has been widely published in conservation journals, and she has
presented at numerous international conferences.

Exploring the National Archives of Ireland website
This presentation will provide a detailed overview of the National Archives of
Ireland's website, emphasising its valuable resources for genealogical research.
Attendees will learn to navigate the site, access census records, wills and other
historical documents, and effectively utilise search tools. Key features such as the
online catalogue, digitised collections, and research guides will be highlighted. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to leverage these resources to
enhance their genealogical research.

Terri Kearney has been manager/curator at Skibbereen Heritage Centre since its opening in 2000. She has published two books, and co-authored two more, as well as contributing articles to various historical journals. She has overseen a number of projects as part of her role, including the Cork Graveyards Project, which now has a database of almost 100,000 previously-unavailable burial records for graveyards throughout Cork county.

Niamh Twomey will give a talk about the role and work of the Cork City Heritage Officer.
